About 290 m of fine grey sand behind breakwaters at the south end of the Fañabé seafront, just north of the Puerto Colón marina. The water is usually calm and the beach has a Blue Flag for 2026. The sand is free; the loungers are not cheap.
Straight talk
What to know before you go.
- Loungers are pricey. Visitors in 2026 paid €24 for two loungers with a parasol and call it expensive.
- Street sellers. Reviews describe pushy sellers every few minutes. In March 2026 the town set up a beach police unit against illegal street trading.
- Toilets after hours. Visitors report dirty toilets and no paper once the staff have left.
- Grey, not golden. Brochures say golden or pale sand. Photos and visitors show grey sand.
- A resort beach. Hotels behind, jet skis and parascending in front. The town itself calls it a highly built-up area.
- Little parking. Fewer than 50 spaces near the beach. Plan on a paid car park or the bus.
Getting there
Torviscas is on the Costa Adeje seafront, between Fañabé to the north and the Puerto Colón marina to the south.
By car
- 01Leave the TF-1 at Costa Adeje and follow the signs to Torviscas and Puerto Colón.
- 02Park in the paid car park on Calle Valencia, right above the south end of the beach. Pay in cash.
- 03If it is full, try the Puerto Colón marina car park about 300 m further south.
- 04Walk down to the promenade. The beach runs north from here towards Fañabé.
There are fewer than 50 parking spaces near the beach, and at peak times the roads into Costa Adeje jam.
Other
Local bus
Line 447 runs from Los Cristianos about every 30 minutes in the daytime, plus lines 467, 471 and 473. Get off at Fañabé Plaza, Ocean Park or Laguna Park. From the stops it is about 600 m downhill to the sand; the way back is uphill.
From Santa Cruz or the airport
Long-distance buses end at Costa Adeje bus station. Change there to a local line that passes Fañabé.
Along the promenade
The seafront promenade links Torviscas with Fañabé to the north and Puerto Colón to the south. Playa del Duque is about 1.1 km north.

Check before you go
The town can close a beach to swimmers at short notice when water tests show bacteria. La Pinta, 300 m south, was closed again in May 2026; Torviscas was not affected. On the beach a red flag means no swimming, yellow means caution. During coastal alerts the Canary Islands government advises keeping away from the shore.

Grey sand between the promenade and the breakwaters, with rows of rental loungers and usually calm water. A visit means a few hours of swimming and sun, with kiosks and bars a few steps away.
